MP3: School Of Seven Bells – “Babelonia”

School Of Seven Bells
The will be plenty of amazing bands at this year’s Splendour In The Grass, but none so mesmerising as New York trio, School Of Seven Bells. Not only do they boast those beguiling, dual-vocal harmonies – hypnotic enough to make you drop your nine-dollar plate of wedges – but they’re even fronted by identical twins, Alejandra and Claudia Deheza; meaning they’re also the most wonderfully symmetrical band you will see this festival season.

The first track to emerge from their second album, ‘Disconnect From Desire’ (out 9 July), is the all-powerful “Babelonia”. Boasting woozy, wall-of-sound guitars from School Of Seven Bells’ resident multi-instrumentalist, Benjamin Curtis, as well as those signature pitch-perfect vocals, this track is experimental dream-pop at its most immediate and exciting.
