Video: Vampire Weekend, Best Coast, and Kid Cudi to Join Forces
The concept is a revival of the popular sneaker campaign from 2008, in which Inertia’s own Santigold teamed up with Pharrell and The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, for the Converse-inspired track, “My Drive Thru”. The surrounding “Connectivity” campaign also prominently featured M.I.A.
This year’s incarnation again unites some of music’s hottest acts. Vampire Weekend are arguably the most talked-about band of 2010, following the astounding success of their sophomore album, ‘Contra’, and ongoing tours.
L.A duo, Best Coast, have had bloggers in a frenzy since they began releasing their sunsoaked, lo-fi demos last year. Now signed to Popfrenzy, they will be releasing their debut album, ‘Crazy For You’, in July – and we can assure you, it’s gonna be an absolute beach classic!
