MP3: Pitchfork Giveaway Free Track from Australia’s Kite Club

Kite ClubPowerhouse indie music webzine, Pitchfork, has given the thumbs up to Australia’s own Nicholas D. Futcher – better known as Kite Club.

In a year that has seen the site critically embrace Australian artists including Tame Impala and Fabulous Diamonds, Kite Club has become the latest local to shine on the world stage.

Describing his track “Going Swimming” as “particularly fun”, the site even offered up a free mp3, which you can download after the jump.

Hailing from Mangrove Mountain in New South Wales, Kite Club makes sunshine pop at its most radiant. Influenced by artists as diverse as Brian Wilson, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, and The Flaming Lips, his glimmering sound has been distilled into his debut digital EP, ‘Esoterica’, which is available now on iTunes.
