Tour News: PVT Tour Support to include Seekae, Ghoul, & Comic Sans!
PVT (formerly known as Pivot) will stage a national tour of Australia in August, to coincide with the release of their new album ‘Church With No Magic’, which will hit shelves 16 July. On top of this, they have announced the supporting acts for each city; reading like a who’s who of Australia’s up-and-coming indie and experimental acts!
The new album builds upon the anthemic synth-driven instrumental movements for which PVT is renowned, along with the power of their visceral live shows. The sound has been brilliantly tempered and expanded by the trio into brooding, melancholic experimental pop – an amalgam of rock synthesis, propulsive rhythms and hige melodic strength.
They are excited to announce Sydney-based experimental electronica maestros Seekae, will be joining them for this tour in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
The tour kicks off at Perth’s Rosemount Hotel, supported by local transcendental quartet Astral Travel and Serbian mutli-instrumentalist noisemaker Predrag Delibasich, who was named one of RRR’s favourite local releases last year.
PVT then hit The Corner in Melbourne alongside Tantrums, Melbourne’s very own psychedelic electro-fuzz pop outfit who have made quite an impression with their live performance already.
In Brisbane they are supported by local five-piece Comic Sans, dubbed “Battles and Q & Not U’s lovechild”(Dom Alessio, Triple J).
The tour then wraps up in their hometown of Sydney, at the Manning Bar, with Seekae and experimental electro-pop locals Ghoul.
