Video: Justin Townes Earle Goes Crate-Digging at Amoeba Music

Justin Townes EarleTennessee’s finest troubador, Justin Townes Earle, has taken fans crate digging with him at California’s (possibly the World’s) finest indie record store, Amoeba Music.

As part of the store’s amazing online “What’s In My Bag” segment, the alt-country prodigy gives rare insight into his unique tastes, and the artists who’ve inspired his craft.

Taking a trip through country, blues and soul, Justin picks up records from the likes of NRBQ, Dr. John, Staples Singers, Don Covay, Magic Sam, Roger Miller, and Roscoe Holcomb. For each, he offers an intimate insight into why he’s choosing to take them home.

The video comes ahead of the release of Justin’s long-awaited third album, ‘Harlem River Blues’ - due out this September on Bloodshot. The new record promises to be rockin’ and reelin’ at times, sweet and slow at others. Simple, and beautifully crafted.
