MP3: Glasser – “Tremel” + Astronomer Remix

Glasser
Following Camerson Mesirow (aka. Glasser) on one of her hypnotic odyssies, is like Alice following the White Rabbit down a hole. By the time you realise you’re in over your head, there’s no turning back.

Just check out “Tremel” – the first track to emerge from Glasser’s debut album, ‘Ring’ (due out 24 September on True Panther). The music glimmers and laps like some eerily tame ocean. The drums chart the voyage. Mesirow’s ghostly harmonies become some alluring siren song.

By the time you realise there’s no refrain – no comforting chorus, or centre – there’s no turning back. You’ve forgotten where you begun. You can’t see the end. Your only option is to float. And try not to drown.

If all that scares you, then check out the remix by Astronomer. Equipped with hot blasts of synth, the track’s transformation into a well-navigated space-age adventure makes Mesirow’s vocal seem all the more alien.

Take a listen and tell us what you think!
