MP3: Wildbirds & Peacedrums – “The Well [The Field Remix]“

Wildbirds & Peacedrums
Ah, Sweden. Beautiful, pristine Sweden. Icy, yet welcoming. Quaint, yet magnificent.

Or at least, that’s how I imagine it. And experimental duo, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, certainly help to reinforce this vision – with their sweeping and emotive sound.

The group release their latest album ‘Rivers’ this weekend, and it’s truly music to warm the blood. The percussive and instrumental textures will speak to your most primal instincts. Mariam Wallentin’s vocals float supernaturally while instilling a calm sense of order.

You can get a taste of what to expect by grabbing this free remix of “The Well” by Swedish ambient techno practitioner, The Field (who happens to be headed to Australia later this year for Meredith Festival and more). Minimal, ghostly, arresting.
