MP3: Hermitude – “Get In My Life”

Hermitude

This beat is a beast. I’d like to take it home and keep it in my basement and feed it live bats. I’d like to infect it with rabies and set it upon my enemies and use it to strike fear into the hearts of neighbourhood children. I would call it “precious” and, together, we would be powerful.

This warped fantasy wouldn’t be possible, of course, without NSW’s Hermitude. Having spent the last eight years releasing classic records and kicking it with Sydney’s unstoppable Elefant Traks crew, it seems the duo have officially become the most skyscraping, juggernaut production team in this country’s history.

“Get In My Life” is something like 1/4 electro, 1/4 hip-hop and 2/4 intergalactic doom. It’s the long lost collaboration between John Carpenter and Dr. Dre. It’s the first track to be taken from their yet-to-be-titled 2011 album. And it’s well worth the simple price of signing up to their mailing list in the form box below (hit “Subscribe” and you’ll be taken to the download)
