Video: Girls capture time in Oz with home movie

Having just completed an Australian tour including Meredith, Girls frontman, Chistopher Owens, has released a homemade movie which documents the best moments from their time on our shores.

Using what appears to be an iPod and a couple of camera phones, the band shoot their adventures on the plane, at the zoo, around Syndey and, of course, throw in a bit of gig footage… all edited together with an epic Smashing Pumpkins soundtrack.

Consisting of two San Francisco slackers – Christopher Owens (words and melodies) and JR White (production) – Girls are a product of their location. Taking the classic California pop template perfected by Brian Wilson and applying a woozy, lo-fi makeover, Girls make music that’s trapped in a permanent adolescence.
