Signing: Sub Pop welcomes Still Corners and Memoryhouse

Still CornersSub Pop announced this week that the label is adding two new bands to its roster, the UK’s Still Corners (pictured) and Canadian duo Memoryhouse.

Still Corners are based in London and write eerie and tremulous songs, like echoing caverns of sound. The band self-released their debut full length ‘Remember Pepper’ in June of 2008, with the 7” singles “Endless Summer” and “Don’t Fall in Love” following in 2010.

Memoryhouse are a blend of the contemporary with the forgotten, the traditional and the technological, the visual and the aural, within the sonographic landscape of dream pop. Their discography consists of a digital only EP entitled ‘The Years’ and two 7”s, “Lately” and “Caregiver”. Both bands are hard at work putting the finishing touches on their Sub Pop debuts, which are slated to come out this year.
