MP3: The Feelies – “Should Be Gone”

The Feelies
Yeah, we could talk about how “influential” and “important” and “seminal” (eww) New York’s The Feelies were, but that kinda feels like a massive distraction from what they are: catchy, energising and unshakeable.

Emerging from NYC’s post-punk scene in 1979, the collective are known to have inspired the likes of REM, Weezer, Sebadoh and Yo La Tengo. Yet what’s most important is that on their first album of new material in 20 years, ‘Here Before’, they show they still know how to inspire.

Just listen to “Should Be Gone”, courtesy of our buds at Popfrenzy, and enjoy the sugar rush (Oh yeah, and if you head to Popfrenzy’s newly-established Facebook page, you can grab heaps more great tracks like this one and win stuff to boot. Boom.)
