Tour: Sydney’s Ghoul embark on co-headline tour with Collarbones
Sydney experimental four-piece Ghoul will embark on a co-headline tour alongside Collarbones this June. The tour continues a busy year for the band, who have ridden a wave of critical acclaim and praise since the release of their mini-LP ‘Dunks’ in February. The group’s debut album is set for release later this year.
Bursting onto the scene in 2008, Ghoul made an immediate impact with their mini-album, ‘A Mouthful Of Gold’, which they distributed freely at their shows and on MySpace. When Dunks’ teaser track “3Mark “was premiered in October last year, the group went on to receive a massive 43 blog mentions in just one day, with global websites The Guardian and I Guess I’m Floating giving praise to the band.
The four-piece have since won the highly influential Triple J Unearthed competition which saw them play at Field Day 2011, and played with the likes of PVT, Pikelet and international favourites, Yeasayer.
