Tour: Ty Seagall announces Australian shows in July

Ty SeagallPopfrenzy have announced the debut Australian tour of San Francisco’s Ty Segall this July. These long-awaited shows will follow hot on the heels of the release of the new album, ‘Goodbye Bread’, on 24th June.

For the last six years, Ty has made a name for himself cranking out the kind of rowdy ear-splitting, lo-fi garage punk rock that makes the White Stripes sound like something you’d buy for Grandma.

The very wonderful ‘Goodbye Bread’ is the follow up to 2010’s much-hyped ‘Melted’. Yes, it’s mellower and more psychedelic pop than past chest-hair-frying expeditions, but it’s still reliably weird, reverb drenched and catchy as hell with a dark, sarcastic twist to it.

A favourite of SXSW 2011, Ty and his band will be touring Australia for the first ever time this July.

Australian Tour Dates
Brisbane: Thur 7 July @ Woodland (tickets)
Sydney: Fri 8 July @ GoodGod Small Club (tickets)
Melbourne: Sat 9 July @ The Tote (tickets)
