Tour: Fleet Foxes announced for Falls Festival

Fleet FoxesSeattle folk six-piece, Fleet Foxes, are among the first acts announced for 2011′s Falls Festival in Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay, Tasmania.

“By the time we’re over there we’ll probably have a couple of new songs (to play you),” frontman Robin Pecknold told Triple J, “but it depends how long they let us play.”

The band will perform alongside Arctic Monkeys, The Jezabels, Tim Finn, Arj Barker and others yet to be announced.

Fleet Foxes’ Australian tour will follow the enormous success of their sophomore record, ‘Helplessness Blues’ – released in April. Mojo gave the album a rare five stars, stating: “This album is destined to redraw the parameters, thanks to its sheer scale and detail, its recurring themes and imagery, and its creators’ refusal to settle for less than they could achieve.”
