News: Robin Pecknold (Fleet Foxes) scores LOLcats movie

Robin PecknoldCat and Fleet Foxes lovers rejoice! On a budget of $15,000 comes the film, “The Internet – A Blog Cats WTF Universe” , with music by none other than Fleet Foxes frontman, Robin Pecknold.

We can only guess that Robin is scoring the film because he’s possibly crazy about LOLcats, but more probably because his brother Sean Pecknold will be directing the film, (he has directed numerous Fleet Foxes music clips, including the gorgeous animation for ‘The Shrine/An Argument’).

With a helping directional hand from LOLcats caption writer Matt Daniels, the film sees a 3D god, cartoon animation and live shots to help conquer questions surrounding laughable cat humour.  “This is a story of a man’s hopeless quest for truth among the cats.”

Is this the greatest cat/Pecknold collaboration ever? Probably!

Donors get an advanced free download of the film, but here’s a sneak peek below.
