News: Seth Sentry announces new album and Australian tour
Melbourne emcee Seth Sentry is about to release his debut album, ‘This Was Tomorrow’ and has announced a 14-date tour to bring the album to his fans.
First rising to prominence when triple j Unearthed his debut track “The Waitress Song”, Seth Sentry’s place in the Australian music landscape became solidified when listeners began bombarding the station with requests to play “The Waitress Song”. It had connected with people in a big way, eventually placing at #31 on that year’s coveted Hottest 100. Seth and brother-in-arms Pez ventured out on a 31 date national tour, and so began a new name in local hip hop.
Seth’s new album, ‘This Was Tomorrow’, is a slice of utterly relatable hip-hop. From the success of “The Waitress Song”, to the current radio smash singles “My Scene” and “Float Away”, ‘This Was Tomorrow’ is indicative of the exponential rate at which Australian hip-hop is evolving. Bold, atmospheric and almost orchestral; ’This Was Tomorrow’ is a grand and ambitious gesture from a humble and entirely creative artist.
‘This Was Tomorrow’ is out on Sept 14 on High Score Records through Inertia
