News: Inertia, Select, Handsome, FBi, Borden, FBi and Triple J Unearthed to create plan for new artist, live at Vivid Ideas!
Inertia brings an artist manager, promoter, label rep, booking agent and two radio music directors together to develop a plan for an emerging artist, live onstage at Vivid Ideas on 2 June.
‘Inertia Presents Access All Areas – breaking new artists in 2013’ features a panel of specialists highly regarded for nurturing new music talent, including label rep Mark Dodds (Inertia Access: Dune Rats, The Delta Riggs), triple j Unearthed Music Director Dave Ruby Howe, promoter Chris Twite (Handsome Tours: SBTRKT, Polica), FBi Music Director Stephen Goodhew, manager Jo Gray (Borden Management: Seekae) and agent Rob Giovannoni (Select Music: DZ Deathrays, Elizabeth Rose).
One artist will be chosen as the session’s focus, but the panel’s advice will help any aspiring artist, manager, booking agent or radiophile to understand more about how these roles work in tandem to build an artist’s profile.
New artists are invited to enter to be the focus of this session by leaving their details at www.inertia-music.com/accessallareas. All styles are encouraged, artists must just be free to attend the session on 2 June, and have no pre-existing connection to the panellists. Inertia Access will also release the chosen artist’s single in June.
Inertia Presents Access All Areas takes place at 7pm on 2 June at The Forum on Level 6 of the Museum of Contemporary Art. Tickets are $10. For tickets and further information visit: http://www.vividsydney.com/events/inertia-presents-access-all-areas-breaking-new-artists-in-2013.
