Watch: Boards of Canada hold premiere listening event for ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’
On May 27th the first ever listening of the new Boards of Canada album ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’ took place in the middle of the Californian desert.
Decoded from a graphic and a film, with no promise of what lay at the end of the road – around a hundred fans drove for up to fifteen hours to a long-abandoned water park at Lake Delores to hear Boards of Canada’s first album in eight years, playing through two speakers in the desert.
The event was filmed by Neil Krug, an American artist based in Los Angeles. You can watch the short film below:
A week later, on Monday 3rd June, the album was broadcast to the whole world live in its entirety, eventually crashing the band’s official website.
