Watch: The Head And The Heart release new video for “Shake”
Indie-folk favourites The Head and the Heart have released a new video for “Shake”, the first single from their forthcoming album, ‘Let’s Be Still’, due for release this October 11th.
Made from footage taken at Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, the video is a great behind-the-scenes look at the band’s festival experience. The style of the clip is like a looking through thousands of photos, perhaps linking to the song’s sentiment.

The band formed back in 2009 and the six members soon went from busking on street corners to playing local clubs and eventually signed to hometown label Sub Pop Records in 2011. Their debut album soon became one of the label’s best-selling debut records in years, with The Head and the Heart selling out shows around the US.
The new album, ‘Let’s Be Still’ is a reflection of all the changes that have happened to the band in just four short years. “The first record was written and recorded with a lot of limitations. It’s almost easier that way,” says bassist Chris Zasche. “This time around, with more time and resources, there were few limitations, so we had to be in charge of keeping a focus and not getting distracted but at the same time exploring the options available. It wasn’t easy, but from this I think a clearer, more focused record has been made.”
