Kishi Bashi Is Back With A Beautiful New Album

POD and Inertia are thrilled to announce the release of violinist, singer and composer artist K. Ishibashi AKA Kishi Bashi’s second album. The sophomore release from the Japanese/American artist is titled ‘Lighght’ (pronounced “Light”) and will be released in May.
After touring and recording with Regina Spektor, Sondre Lerche and of Montreal, Bashi began work on his solo project. His flawless debut ‘151a’ saw him tour relentlessly, captivating international audiences with his loop-based live show. Despite the violin being his primary instrument, Kishi Bashi has gone on to include more diverse instruments on ‘Lighght’, which is evident in several bright and soaring avant-pop songs. Impressive Philip Glass-inspired improvisations also feature on the album, making the album an extremely diverse example of raw talent.

Listen to the lead single, curiously titled “Philosophize In It! Chemicalize With It!” below.

‘Lighght’ is out 16th May, 2014 on Pod through Inertia
