A Mesmerizing And Accomplished Sound From New London Four-Piece Woman’s Hour

The highly anticipated debut album of the London four-piece Woman’s Hour is just about to drop. There has been a lot of talk lately about their brand new album ‘Conversations’, a beautiful album that layers the subtle lovelorn vocals of lead singer Fiona Burgess while weaving in intricate electronic textures.

With a very distinct musical and visual style, you can see why Woman’s Hour are not your average band. From their name based on a BBC Radio 4 female-focussed news and culture show, to their meticulously curated monochrome visuals there is no wonder why they were the 6th most blogged about band in 2013.

With recent supports slots for Anna Calvi, Volcano Choir and Metronomy as well as some highlight shows at SxSW and Latitude Festival, 2014 is shaping to be a great year for the band.

You can watch the mesmerizing video for lead single “Her Ghost” below. You can also pre-order the album here.

‘Conversations’ is out 11th July on Secretly Canadian through Inertia
