This is a magical debut solo record from the founding member and singer of THE RAINCOATS, ANA DA SILVA. The Raincoats (ROUGH TRADE) are legendary, friends of THE SLITS and most favoured band of SONIC YOUTH and KURT COBAIN... they always collaborated on ideas and songs and played guitars
With this album, \'The Lighthouse\', Ana bought a small digital instrument, a mini keyboard, and a sequencer and wrote, played, recorded and mixed the whole record herself.
All of the album, except \"Modinha\", was recorded with this instrument and her voice onto an eight track digital recorder. She wants the songs to express feelings and to create worlds in which the listener can roam in their own particular way.
