This, the second album from SAVAS PASCALIDIS, delivers more of his unmistakable brand of dark acid techno. Savas Pascalidis began his musical career as a DJ putting down funk and disco in clubs in and around Stuttgart. In 1999 he founded his own label, LASERGUN. In 2002 Savas moved to Berlin where once a month he presents his Disco Galaxy party at the Polar TV club. 2002 also saw the debut Pascalidis long player \'Galactic Gigolo\' released on INTERNATIONAL DEEJAY GIGOLO RECORDS. \'Disko Vietnam\' is prime dancefloor spacetechno. The album is shrouded in dark synths entangled with firm bodymoving beats and acid bleeps. Acid sounds squelch their way throughout \'Disko Vietnam\', all the time accompanied by crisp drum rhythms. Savas Pascalidis manages to make music that sounds futuristic while still retaining oldschool style and attitude. He takes certain sounds and production values from disco and early electro yet still delivers a thoroughly 21st century album. Savas takes from the past and gives to the future, expanding on the best elements of disco, acidelectro and straight up techno.
