From humble beginnings in Finland during 1997, the band has forged a reputation worldwide with a string of classic 7"s and two LP releases on their own TIMMION label, along with sides for JIVE RECORDS and the now defunct New York-based SOUL FIRE records.

'Fat Slice O' Funk' is a collection of the best of The Soul Investigators' body of work.

A combination of previously released and unreleased songs from Finland's funkmeisters who have been inspired by JAMES BROWN, THE METERS and BOOKER T. & THE MG'S.
