It's been 10 years since UK trio AQUASKY's debut 12" release and since then the trio have released in excess of 200 singles and 7 albums between them, covering a huge musical range from drum & bass, hip hop & breaks (even jazz-funk!), and many of their tracks have gone onto cult status.
Producers of the calibre of ADAM FREELAND & THE SCRATCH PERVERTS made their first vinyl appearance via AQUASKY collaborations or remixes. These guys are the bedrock of the breaks scene!
Now AQUASKY have collaborated with some of the hottest producers and vocalists from the worlds of breakbeat, d&b and hip hop on their first album on their own PASSENGER label, 'Team Players', and it's already being touted as the most important breakbeat album to date!
The guest line upon this album is simply astounding: MEAT KATIE, FREQ NASTY, DRUMATTIC TWINS, EL HORNET (PENDULUM), TAYO, BIG SHUG (GANSTARR), THE BREAKFASTAZ, DJ ICEY, EARL 16, DIANE CHARLEMAGNE (vocalist on GOLDIE'S "Inner City Life"), UK APACHE (MC on SHY FX'S "Original Nuttah") & many more!
The album has already produced two 12" club smashes in "Girls & Boys" (with EL HORNET) and "The Overneath" (with MEAT KATIE), both appealing to electro and house jocks as well as breaks spinners.
