Slow Days
Morr Music
INDIE
- BERNHARD FLEISCHMANN, CHRISTOF KURZMANN, PAUL KLING (aka BURKHARD
STANGL), MARTIN SIEWERT and WERNER DAFELDECKER are all experimentalists of
beats and sounds, trained in post-jazz and improvisation, they are of course
THE YEAR OF.
- These five artists appeared on Bernhard Fleischmann's album ''Welcome
Tourist'.
- 'Slow Days' sounds exactly like that which people like to call art,
and is a heartwarming record, where much happens between the lines, between
the arrangements & yet, as a whole, is a hearty, heart-warming, euphoric
album. A pop album.
- The album begins as expected, with the polymorph "Mantra",
A soft humming, a clarinet from a distance, disconnected sounds, searching,
waiting...
- The song "Alone" is a further longing melody, as is "There's
Something About You". They are songs in cinemascope, wide and close,
dense and open. Likeable immediately.
- The track "Sleep" has become a chamber music inspirited
country song, which permits a view of the sunset, with faint guitars and
a vibraphone with warm distortions.
- It was recorded together with CHRISTOPH AMANN in his Vienna based
studio.
