In October 1995 CARL COX was voted the World's number one in DJ MAGAZINE's Top 100 DJ Poll. This was in no small part due to the success of 'Carl Cox - F.A.C.T.' - THE FIRST EVER DOUBLE DJ MIX ALBUM BY A SINGLE ARTIST - which mapped his transition from British rave DJ to international techno and dance music legend.
The album's credible approach to the popular harder-edged music of the time attracted widespread acclaim and 'F.A.C.T' endured broad-based appeal with worldwide sales of 200,000 copies and a Gold sales Award for UK sales, becoming the biggest selling underground dance album of its era.
The F.A.C.T mix features a broad selection of mid-90s accessible underground techno, acid, house and trance including classic tracks CYGNUS X "Orange Theme", PUMP PANEL "Ego Acid", THOMAS HECKMANN "Amphetamine" DJ HELL "Hot On The Heels Of Love" (DC Remix) and SOURCE EXPERIENCE "Elektra". The mix was largely celebrated as a sum of its parts and received blanket praise because of its exciting feel and flow.
