MONOLAKE

If you are looking for German minimal techno done with maximum attention to detail and true dedication to sound, MONOLAKE is one of the first projects to look at.
After early releases on CHAIN REACTION, and being highly influenced by the exploding minimal dub technoscene of Berlin during the mid 90s, the project soon started to develop its own trademark sound, a more complex and rich flavour while still keeping a constant rhythmical pulse as the main force in every track, thanks to ROBERT HENKE.
This CD contains five completely different remixes of the Monolake track "Plumbicon", including one by SCOTT MONTEITH aka DEADBEAT. "Plumbicon" was the closing track of the last Monolake album 'Polygon Cities'.
On "Plumbicon Epilogue" ROBERT HENKE says "I felt the need to add a fifth track to the CD.. When I decided to do a rich track instead of a reduced one the music became more alive with every added soundscape. This track echoes some of the ideas present in the other mixes and provides a wonderful closing to the CD."
