'Candy' is an Australian independent feature film based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel of the same name, written by LUKE DAVIES.
It is the powerful story of two lovers whose intersecting lives take them on a journey of lust, addiction and ultimately self-destruction.
'Candy' will be the first feature film for Australia's foremost theatre director, NEIL ARMFIELD, the Artistic Director for the internationally renowned Company B, at Sydney's Belvoir Street Theatre. It stars HEATH LEDGER, GEOFFREY RUSH & 'Somersault's ABBIE CORNISH.
The soundtrack album features timeless songs by TIM BUCKLEY, RODRIGUEZ (featured in actual trailer of film), AMON TOBIN, SOUL COUGHING and a stunning new track from CONCRETE BLONDE's JOHNETTE NAPOLITANO, written and recorded specifically for the film. The haunting original score was composed, arranged and produced by PAUL CHARLIER.
