Stella
Touch And Go
INDIE
UZEDA is a four piece band that hails from Catania, a city in the region of Sicily.
Catania is known for its close proximity to the (in)famous Mt. Etna volcano - coincidentally making the most obvious and closest point of comparison for Uzeda's music. It seems only right to say that Uzeda is the musical equivalent of this smoking mass of rock !
'Stella' is their first release since 1998 and has been recorded on location in Sicily by longtime collaborator, the super fierce and uncompromising indie rock uber-producer and recorder STEVE ALBINI (SHELLAC).
CHICAGO READER "The Sicilian aggro-math quartet doesn't just keep up with its American counterparts; it transcends the expectations of fans and tour mates Shellac, Fugazi, and June of 44. And at moments...the album is one of the most intense things producer Steve Albini has put his name on since Big Black."
