FREQUENCY are a relatively new quartert of four longtime members of Chicago's many storied underground Jazz scene. Members have previously played and performed with such big names as SUN RA, PHAROAH SANDERS, JOSHUA REDMAN, ARETHA FRANKLIN, PROFESSOR LONGHAIR, LESTER BOWIE, HAMID DRAKE, ANTHONY BRAXTON.
The four some have created a vibrant suite of improvisations here showing that the Chicago jazz underground, a boon of influence for decades upon decades, hasn't slowed down a bit.
