SOMA legend PERCY X returns with a new chapter of techno-funk for 2006. For THE SEPARATISTS he has joined forces with two of Glasgow's finest electronic producers, MARCO BERNARDI and JOHN HOSPITAL.
The result is their debut album 'Akilak', an innovative techno excursion, full of killer tracks.
Percy X makes a welcome return to the label after his 'Where's The Music' album four years ago. Since then he has been working on various projects including tracks for ANDREW WEATHERALL's FIREWIRE label and DJing extensively.
Marco Bernardi is forging a reputation as one of the UK's hottest electro producers with his amazing productions on labels like CLONE, FRUSTRATED FUNK and TOM CHURCHILL's EMOTICON. He also has releases forthcoming on DEXTER's KLAKSON and for SOMA under the alias of OCTOGEN.
John Hospital is one of the members of Glasgow's sinister electro surgeons DIRTY HOSPITAL. He is also part of the band DATA PANIC and runs ROTTONROW RECORDS. This doctor of doom contributes on four tracks on the album.
These three accomplished producers have produced a fresh collection of awe-inspiring techno that encapsulates the very best of Detroit, minimal and electro.
