FOLK
25 year old Irish singer songwriter FIONN REGAN is a rare talent, he's a folk singer in the traditional sense but what sets himself apart from all the other new folk wannabes is he has songs you can sing along to.
Signed to SIMON RAYMONDE's (COCTEAU TWINS) uber hip BELLA UNION early this year after having turned his back on major labels in the UK and abroad that had been courting him for 3 years.
Fionn's sonic ideals have more in common with classic recordings of the 60s and 70s, and draws comparisons to art folk artists like NICK DRAKE and LEONARD COHEN. He still has his foot firmly in contemporary music though with other comparisons being with fellow Irish artists THE FRAMES, DAMIEN RICE and LUKA BLOOM.
Fionn records in a live capacity using analogue equipment, with guitar & vocals performed simultaneously in one take while introducing percussion, piano and strings to mesmerising effect.
Recently toured Europe and UK as special guest of LOW.
Touring Australia in Feb/ March 2007. Confirmed, tour announced in the first
week of OCT.
