'Destroy Minimal' has been compiled and mixed by J16, proprietor of one of East London's key record emporiums, is a collection of the new and exciting sounds that have somehow been termed minimal, yet are full and musical as well as being stripped down and bare.
The tempos have dropped and the styles have opened up. This is the sound of those secret after hours parties where disco, soul, funk and new cosmic sounds dovetail with techno, house and electro. This now once underground sound is fast becoming what defines all club music in 2006!
This is where LINDSTROM's space disco dances with PADDED CELL's punk funk, where LUCIANO & SERAFIN's new school take shimmers with house legend MARSHALL JEFFERSON and BOOKA SHADE cavort with TRENTEMÃÂLLER and ALEX UNDER.
Whatever the terminology, this is the underground sound of now, delivered in an easy to digest package. Let the destruction commence...
