French Lick
In-fidelity
INDIE
Somewhere in the first half of 2006 KAMIKAZE TRIO locked themselves in the studio amidst a series of personal tragedies so profound they would have killed the average band. Bad luck culminated with drummer ANDY MOORE being laid up in hospital for 2 weeks and possible musical retirement in sight. Yet the band kicked on, with the result being their new EP French Lick on In-Fidelity records.
'French Lick' pushes the boundaries where 2005's 'Danger Money' left off.
DINOSAUR JR-esque pop moment "Drinking and Crying" sees the band get as close to commercially friendly as they are ever gonna get, whilst "Saturday Night, Sunday Mourning" showcases the most honest and relentless recorded representation of the Trio's live sound: noisy, fucked up and unforgiving
With their second long-player to follow in March and a European trip confirmed for 2007 - including a headline appearance at German festival Swamp Room Happening - Kamikaze Trio are going right back to where they left off.
Street press advertising is happening as well as gigs and RRR airplay.
Bring your eye plugs...this one is gonna explode.
