MAKE-UP was a group which composed superior, original music, performed that music dynamically in spaces and nightclubs, and organized the performances at which they appeared across the U.S.A. and the world.
They were: on guitar, microphone and organ, JAMES CANTY; on center microphone, IAN SVENONIUS; on bass guitar and microphone, MICHELLE MAE and on the drum kit, STEVE GAMBOA.
Ian, Steve and James once were part of the NATION OF ULYSSES, while Michelle took part in a project called FRUMPIES. Members onow perform in WEIRD WAR and FRENCH TOAST
The DVD is NTSC/ Non-Region Encoded and features:
"Blue is Beautiful", a film by by James Schneider (33 minutes, color 16mm) with audio commentary by Ian Svenonius. Filmed Videos (13 minutes): "Save Yourself", "White Belts", "Call Me Mommy", "Little Black Book"; and unreleased songs and images.
Video-taped performances from live shows (43 minutes) at the Wilson Center in DC and the Troubador in LA including: "Intro", "Here Comes the Judge", "Feelin' Man", "Pentagon", "C'mon Let's Spawn", "I Want Some", "U R My Intended", "The Bells" plus more
