THE COPS ARE BACK! Recently signing to INERTIA RECORDINGS as the label's first exclusive recording artist, the band has finished its new EP, '80 In The Shade'.
The first single is the preposterously catchy and RIC OCASEK lid-tipping pop extravaganza, "Call Me Anytime". It sounds both fresh and familiar, and is currently ripping up the airwaves with an immediate playlist addition to Triple J, and also independent radio.

The band now has a new line-up, which is the strongest incarnation yet, and the perfect vehicle to realise the new vision of The Cops, circa 2006!
The Cops generated much interest on the back of their highly successful debut album, 'Stomp On Tripwires', released in 2004 on LOVE POLICE RECORDS. They played nearly 100 shows in support of the record, including tours with BLONDIE, THE VON BONDIES, THE DONNAS, THE BLACK KEYS, GRINSPOON and THE DIRTBOMBS.
