The most innovative, risk-taking and outrageous hip hop act to come out of France in the last decade, TTC are back and the trio are taking things higher with their third album, '3615'.
With production from the group's flying helmet-wearing DJ, ORGASMIC (recent visitor to these shores who's sets have gone down in legend), the mighty PARA ONE, TACTEEL, MODESELEKTOR (BPITCH CONTROL) and TIDO himself, this is the band's most consistent, distinctive effort.
The album could be seen as a uniquely French re-vamp on 'Crunk', the synth heavy (and "disposable", according to the chin strokers, but "fun" to many others) take on hip hop & Rn'B from the likes of producer & performer LIL' JON that is dominating the world scene commercially right now. But TTC somehow manage to be both sincere to the sound and tongue in cheek at the same time.
Brearthtakingly clever, silly, profound, shallow and beautiful, "3615" is that rare thing, an album which sounds like no other.
Released on the mighty BIG DADA label, home to TTC's good buddies SPANK ROCK & DIPLO.
