'Reminted' is the second CD release from FORT KNOX RECORDINGS (following on from last year's hugely popular 'New Gold Standard' comp) and features a selection of Fort Knox Five's floor filling remixes that have been shaking dancefloors, mixed in their signature, party-rocking DJ style. Since 2003, these cats have been establishing their renegade funk & soul imprint releasing seven globally treasured pieces of 12" vinyl.
Their fanbase increased exponentially when they were toured by FUZZY last year.
SID BARCELONA, JON HORVATH, ROB MYERS and STEVE RASKIN are the mastermind producers behind the FK5.
They have coined the term 'Reminted' to represent their unique remixing style. They are known for creating songs that go beyond the average remix by extensively incorporating their own live instrumentation and amazing production skills. Here, FK5 dig into their vast remix vault selecting a 12 track mixed DJ set of some of their favourite performances.
The line up of those lucky enough to get 'reminted' include celebrated Latino masters TITO PUENTE and JOE BATAAN, who get their funky boogaloo vibes with thrown together with current dancefloor faves like A.
