INDIE
There are a number of contemporary artists who attempt to combine electronic music with jazz concepts, Squarepusher being one of the more successful. Yet few of these musicians manage improvisation. German Tied & Tickled Trio do. There’s no brass section, nowhere, no jazzthetics, in that special sense how the Tied & Tickled Trio has made them audible, at least in German guitarbased underground. As well as in
Electronica of the late 1990ies and the first years of the 21st century - indietronic.
“Aelita” starts beyond all expectations. A melancholy journey, visiting former visions, futurism, science and science fiction.”Chlebnikov”, the title of one of the tracks, is named after the poet of the Russian Avantgarde who died of starvation within the crisis of the 1920s. Tied & Tickled Trio are Caspar Brandner, Andreas Gerth, Markus & Micha Acher & Carl Oesterhelt.
