Too Much Or Not Enough
Unstable Ape
INDIE
Adelaide’s NO THROUGH ROAD is back with the re-release of their 2006 album ‘Too Much or Not Enough’, and their first release under the new partnership of UNSTABLE APE / REMOTE CONTROL RECORDS.
Packaged with new artwork and unreleased bonus tracks, its a mammoth step forward for NTR as it marks the moment where the once solo project of Matt Banham transformed into a monstrous all-star, indie rock 6 piece band.
Along with indie-rock, double-drum, triple-guitar anthems like the Triple-J radio single “Die For Something”, the new album reflects Banham’s remarkable songwriting skills with several stripped-back intimate moments of bittersweet, love-lorn lo-fi heaven, including the curious duet “Don’t let the last time I touch you” with America’s Microphones/Mount Eerie brainstrust Phil Evrum.
2006 was a big year for NTR as they built their reputation as one of Australia’s m ustsee acts, receiving rave reviews for their performance at the Adelaide Big Day Out, and winning over crowd after crowd supporting diverse acts such as The New Pornographers, The Unicorns, Okkervil River, Lou Barlow (Sebadoh), M. Ward, Calvin Johnson, Microphones/ Mount Eerie and Sage Francis.
2007 is set to be an even bigger year for NTR as they embark shortly on their first full national tour in support of this release.
