Copenhagen’s EFTERKLANG make a welcome return with a magical re-introduction to their sound - ‘Under Giant Trees’, a limited edition five-track mini-album in deluxe packaging. Their debut album ‘Tripper’ (BAY40CD) was a fave with many stores & listeners.
Extra vocals, brass and strings were added, with Edda and Hildur from SIGUR ROS’ AMIINA QUARTET recording further violin parts.
The results are mesmerising - at once vibrant, otherworldly, poignant and panoramic. Efterklang share the same widescreen vision, production values and melodic sensibilities as Sigur Ros, MUM and RACHELS. ‘Under Giant Trees’ will be released worldwide as a strictly limited edition embossed, individually numbered CDs in deluxe card packaging with four ’puzzle cards’, and a limited edition individually numbered white vinyl LP.
