The best punk rock is born and bred of anger and intensity. Whether it’s disdain at the social and political injustices of the modern world, or the borderline psychosis that mutates from unresolved emotional issues. And somewhere within that analysis lies an explanation for the potency and energy that underpins Melbourne power trio Kamikaze Trio.
Kamikaze Trio have been around the block a few times, and know their stock and trade. With a musical bloodline that includes Fort Mary, Digger& the Pussycats and Spencer P Jones’ Escape Committee, Kamikaze Trio has developed a fearsome reputation for abewildering and chaotic punk rock attack.
The band’s debut album, ‘Danger Money’, showed a band treading carefully in its quest to carve out a distinct sound. ‘The French Lick EP’, released in late 2006, was a quantum leap in precision and purpose.
