To My Boy are a duo hailing from Liverpool, a place known for it’s obsession with music and it’s ability to channel that into something rather special.
To My Boy specialise in ecstatic guitar playing, joyous live shows, rapturous dancing audience. Forming originally as a 4-piece, Sam White and Jack Snape soon sacked the drummer and bassist, brought in a shiny laptop and continued to make music with an indie ethos. The result is like nothing you’ve heard before: deliriously pop-hearted songs, blending dance/electronica/indie.
You could call it new-wave. James Ford and Clor helped produce their debut ‘Messages’ and To My Boy have taken their hyper, enthralling sound on tour with the likes of the Klaxons and Shit Disco and Interpol.
Locally, community radio are all over this with Sydney’s FBI having just made it their Album Of The Week.
