SHIMON & NIXON are like ying and yang, one a D&B heavyweight, part of the infamous RAM RECORDS stable and producer of anthem ‘Bodyrock’, and the other a pro-snowboarder turned producer. But they are proving themselves a force to be reckoned with, already cited as one the hottest new breaks acts of 2007. The burbling bass of the A is destined for sun-soaked dancefloors and festival tents alike.
Shimon’s junglist influences are evident, minimal keys sit atop warped synth lines and atmospheric vocals. ‘Whitenoise’ is the more instant club banger, taking a trip to the darker reaches.
