The M’s are a 4-piece rock outfit from Chicago, Illinois… though they sound part of the glorious moment when the British Invasion bands of the ‘60s were still grappling with their love of R&B, while flirting with the more sophisticated attributes of pop.

The M’s eponymous debut album garnered critical praise and thousands of fans, and pushed them to the forefront of the Chicago scene. The band toured with fellow windy city rockers Wilco, and gained recognition as one of the Midwest’s top acts.

The M’s wanted to make a far-reaching and ambitious sophomore effort that would add to the already rich palette of sounds they’d created. They expanded their sound on ‘Future Women’, broadening their boisterous brand of psych-flecked power-pop, with plangent touches of strings and brass, always tasteful, always spot on.

Always imminently tuneful, The M’s have in recent years graced the soundtracks of big American television programmes, The OC and Gray’s Anatomy.

The album includes 2 Exclusive Bonus Tracks – “Al Thomas & The Robot”, previously released on a split 7” single, and the band’s cover of The Beatles’ “Good Morning Good Morning”, recorded especially for the Mojo Magazine ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ Tribute compilation!

SPIN “With their fuzzy riffs and psychedelic melodies, The M’s could be mistaken for British tunesmiths Ray Davies, Damon Albarn, Marc Bolan, and John Lennon”
CHICAGO TRIBUNE “Glorious... sophisticated harmonies and hooks of classic pop songwriting”

GQ “The kind of sly wordplay and soulful pop breaks the Davies brothers made famous”

WASHINGTON POST “A thrilling rush”
