‘A Different Handwriting’ is the third album by Pretty Boy Crossover and their second release for Sensory Projects (Hood, International Karate, Pivot, MONO, Shearwater, Eluvium..).
For the uninitiated, Pretty Boy Crossover are Jason Sweeney and Cailan Burns, two music obsessives who met in Adelaide in 1998.
Along with their releases on Sensory Projects, Pretty Boy Crossover have also worked with a number of other labels including Surgery, Clan Analogue.
2007’s ‘A Different Handwriting’ finds Burns and Sweeney at the peak of their powers, offering beautiful and cohesive sounds.
The results are absolute: a permeating set of tunes which transcend their ambient leanings, taking on an emotive, lyrical quality.
‘A Different Handwriting’ also features the first Pretty Boy Crossover tracks to come out of their collaboration with former Underground Lovers front-man Vincent Giarrusso.
The album will be promoted and marketed via all relevant media and press and the band will embark on an east coast tour this month. Expect great press for this brilliant album.
