Pushing a really distinctive and forward-thinking sound able to switch neatly between melancholic beauty and stomach-churning subbass. One of the producers of the year so far, Icicle takes inspiration from the dirty basslines of the likes of Jonny L and Optical and the intricate drum patterns of Photek & Source Direct. With this approach Icicle’s tech funk sounds have quickly earned him DJ support from Goldie, Fabio, London Elektricity, D-Bridge, DJ Flight & Commix no less. This is his debut release on Subtitles.
