This 12” features two tracks by the legendary UK new wave/funk outfit SHRIEKBACK which was founded in 1982 by former XTC and GANG OF FOUR member DAVE ALLEN. This EP is just a tastemaker to the forthcoming ‘Elaste Vol. 2’, compiled by two other maniac record nerds out of Munich: MICHAEL REINBOTH and MICHAEL HEINKEL. In 1983, the NME described Shriekback’s music as “England’s synthetic synergy with The Talking Heads”. The Face put it like this in October ‘83: “A Certain Ratio meets Human League in Heaven 17”.
