DENGUE FEVER are an L.A based six piece fronted by Cambodian pop star CH’HOM NIMOL, who sings in Khmer, the Cambodian native language and ‘Escape From Dragon House’ is their sophomore release. They deftly blend the rhythms of ‘60s Cambodian pop – heavily influenced by American surf, rock and early psychedelic garage bands – with their own eclectic mix of American and international styles.
Dengue Fever were awarded the L.A Weekly’s “Best New Artist” award in 2002 and received rapturous reviews in MOJO, PITCHFORK, NY TIMES, LA TIMES & BBC amongst others.
This LAUGHING OUTLAW version contains the Bonus Track ‘Revenge of the Tarantula remix’ plus the “Sni Bong” video.
Dengue Fever were asked by Actor/Director Matt Dillon to re-record the Joni Mitchell classic “Both Sides Now”, which was then used in Dillon’s thriller ‘City of Ghosts’ and their music has also been featured in the hit film ‘Must Love Dogs’ and popular TV series ‘Weeds’
